Marketing Manager
Location: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, option to work from home with a mix of office working
Salary £30,000 per year basic salary + £10,000 KPI linked quarterly bonus scheme

The company

ITAE Productions is part of the ITAE Group of companies, founded by our CEO Sam Piri and backed by BBC Dragons' Den investor Deborah Meaden & Peter Jones. We specialise in immersive and interactive events aimed at medical and healthcare students and professionals. We operate three flagship brands: Dinner & Dissection, The Post Mortem Live and Operating Theatre Live. Together these shows offer the chance for audiences to take part in dissection based activities to learn anatomy, physiology and disease pathology. We are the only licensed operator for this event type in the UK. Since our appearance on BBC Dragons' Den in 2018 we have massively expanded our customer base offering an unrivalled suite of products with no direct competitor and our turnover is in excess of £2 million pounds annually. We deploy bold and eccentric techniques to drive audience interaction in the online space with our customer being both B2B and B2C. We defied all odds surviving COVID due to our innovative, resourceful, committed young team lead by our resilient CEO. Joining the team you will join a highly productive and agile team keen to adapt and diversify to post covid business strategies. This is just the beginning.  

 

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a marketing manager to lead in online generated sales into the business. You will devise and execute all tasks and activities that drive customers through the customer journey, specifically driving ticket sales generated from online behaviours. You will be a key person in strategy and comfortable with  compiling data for reporting as well as analysing your own performance. You will be managing a huge social media advert budget of over £100,000 to ensure that it is effectively spent in line with budgets delivering a good ROAS. You will develop excellent product knowledge as you analyse and refine performance in real time using Meta platforms, Tik Tok, You Tube, Google Ad words and other platforms in the digital space. You will be bold and daring in your approach to our advert campaigns, spotting new trends to ensure we maximise every opportunity. You will need a strong stomach!

 

Key roles and responsibilities:

 

  • To lead, manage and motivate others and promote the 5 key company behaviours 

  • To plan, implement and manage the social media schedule to optimise organic exposure and engagement.

  • To source relevant content for posts, manage scheduling on all company social media accounts

  • To improve SEO through backlinks, blog posts and relevant channels 

  • To use CANVA (and other platforms) to produce artwork in line with company brand specifications (training provided)

  • To devise and execute paid advertising campaigns at targeted audiences 

  • To manage online advertising budget in line with KPI’s

  • To track advert performance on all social media channels and report to management

  • To analyse, track and intervene when advert spend is ineffective -vs- cash received

  • To devise strategies to increase online sales including: promotions, discounts, incentives and other schemes to increase cash and revenue

  • To manage data capture (email contacts) and ensure there is adequate information behind data capture

  • To use data and information to maximum advantage to drive conversions

  • To ensure there are no missed opportunities in the online space 

  • To work with national and regional press to drive coverage

  • To work with third party resellers to boost ticket sales

  • To conduct weekly web presence checks of all brands and respond to any online feedback

  • To ensure all aspects of the online customer journey is optimised for success

  • To keep data and records accurate and up to date for reporting, scrutiny and analysis 

  • To constantly analyse and review online sales performance in line with KPI’s/forecasts and implement appropriate intervention strategies to ensure success 

  • To attend, contribute and shape the company direction as a key member of the team

  • To undertake self-development activities to develop skillsets as the company grows

  • To spot and keep with the latest trends

  • To lead, manage and motivate others

You should have some experience in devising social media campaigns, this is a unique role offering close support and mentoring for the right person. We have tried and tested strategies which can be taught and shared by our team therefore we are seeking a competent and articulate individual who can pick things up quickly to be successful in this role. Creative flare, a hunger to learn and commitment to the business will supersede experience at interview.
