Undergraduate Placement Programme 2020
We produce a number of online TV subscriptions channels which are hugely popular with international appeal. We are seeking tenacious graduates seeking to break into the TV & Media industry. This sector is notoriously competitive and we have some of the industries best in terms of presenters, producers, editors, crew, marketing and sales teams. We were featured on BBC Dragons Den and Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones own a percentage of the business. Our content is often featured in national and international press including: The Times, The Daily Mail, The Sun, The Mirror, BBC & ITV.
The Undergraduate placement scheme is a fantastic way to get a footing on the ladder with a productions company. To apply you must be at least 16 years old and be in further or higher education.
Our placements offer a 360 all round experience of the TV & Media sector.
The placement is a minimum of 240 hours spread out on a part time flexible basis around your studies/paid work. The programme is built by our experienced placement team to allow the student to gain an insight into the entire production of a TV channel which will include following the below four modules.
The audience enegament module will allow you experience how production companies build audience profiles for digital content. You will work with our promotions team to profile an audience, engage them in a brand and drive an increase in audience engagement. You will learn how social media, offline media and other marketing strategies feed into increasing brand awareness and growing the viewer base.
You will assist with the commissioning of a new online televised concept. You will work with the commissioners to plan the concept and produce broadcast standard content.
Working with our production team you will shadow the creative designer to produce graphics for advertising, stage LEDS, set backdrops as well as on screen graphics. You will work with our camera crew to operate cameras, capture footage and undertake edit.
The placement will end with you working with our in house team to create your own fully produced piece of creative media streamed online with audience statistics to take away. A real tangible project to showcase your work.
Our placements are open to all undergraduates hoping to pursue a career in media, film production, marketing, advertising, sales and business management.
Those graduates on our placements may be offered further paid work on a part time or full time basis alongside or upon successful completion of the placement.
